Using WorkSight Credential Functionality to Track COVID-19 Vaccinations
In August we announced the release of our WorkSight Credential Manager, which allows you to remain compliant with relevant labor laws by automatically keeping track of employee credentials, certifications, and other important deadlines and expiration dates without having to manually follow up.
Some G&A clients have started using the credentialing function to track employee COVID-19 vaccination statuses, too. As more states pass laws mandating vaccines or employee testing, you can use G&A's WorkSight credentialing function to keep track of each of your employees' overall statuses, individual vaccine shots, and/or their booster shots. You can also set up due dates with associated reminders via email or the WorkSight “bell” to remind your employees of important dates or compliance requirements.
To track this type of “credential," create a new credential template titled "COVID-19 Vaccine" with no expiration date and then assign it to those who require the vaccine. Individual shots or booster shots would simply be the same “credential” labeled as such (e.g., "First COVID-19 Shot," "Second Covid-19 Shot," "Covid-19 Booster Shot," etc.).
Please note that this simple feature using credentialing only tracks employees who are required to get the vaccine, and then reports on those who have the vaccine and those who don’t. This feature is not fully compliant with federal government mandates for COVID-19 testing and tracking.
