G&A listed in the Houston Chronicle’s Chron 100 Top Private Companies list, again
The Houston Chronicle announced in June its annual Chron 100 list of top private companies placing G&A Partners as the fourth-largest privately held firm. This is the fifth time G&A Partners has been recognized on this list.
The list ranked the top private companies in Houston and surrounding areas based on their total 2021 revenues. Despite recent challenging years, G&A Partners grew its revenue from $3.5 billion in 2020 to nearly $4.6 billion in 2021.
G&A Partners’ President and CEO John W. Allen attributed G&A's success of the company’s performance to sales growth, solid customer retention, and strategic acquisitions. In January 2021, G&A acquired XMI, a Nashville-based human resources provider. Then G&A expanded again in March 2022, when the company acquired Employer Advantage, a Joplin, Mo.,-based human resources provider. Most recently in June, G&A acquired Focus OneSource, a human resources provider based in Des Moines, Iowa, marking 11 acquisitions in four years.
“These have been interesting times,” Allen said. “It’s not like you can ignore the things you can’t control, but you can’t dwell on them either. You focus on the things you do well, and you hope that everything works out well. For us, it did.”
