HRTech Cube: G&A’s Jose Laurel Discusses How AI is Transforming Talent Acquisition
In HRTech Cube’s recent article, G&A Partners’ Vice President of Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Jose Laurel, discusses how AI is transforming talent acquisition by streamlining and enhancing the entire hiring process. Laurel also emphasizes the importance of maintaining a human-centric approach.
In his article, “Transformational AI in Talent Acquisition,” Laurel outlines the role of AI in the hiring process and its effect on the candidate, employer, and recruiter experience.
These AI tools can help "improve candidate communication by providing continuous feedback, streamlining the application process, and focusing on personalized touch points with recruiters and hiring managers,” says Laurel.
AI is also being integrated into assessment and testing tools. Laurel notes that these tools can be used to “reduce unconscious bias” and have “contributed to setting up a more efficient, fair, and faster hiring process.”
“Employers can utilize a range of AI tools, from predictive analytics to pre-hire assessments, to make data-driven decisions that lead to better hiring choices, while decreasing their overall cost per hire,” writes Laurel.
According to Laurel, it’s also important to understand that these technological advances do not mean that recruiters will become obsolete. Quite the opposite. Recruiters can harness this power to improve their process and automate time-consuming, repetitive administrative tasks – allowing them to focus on building their dream team.
“All of these improvements allow a recruiter to have more personalized interactions with candidates and focus on key strategic priorities, such as culture fit,” writes Laurel.
